Job Description

Base pay range

$60,000.00/yr - $85,000.00/yr

Our pharmaceutical client is looking for a chemist to join their growing organization. If you are someone who wants to be part of a highly technical team, this may be the role for you.

Responsibilities


  • Conduct release and stability testing for pharmaceutical products with a focus on LC and GC chromatographic analyses as well as dissolution testing.
  • Prepare solid dosage samples for analysis by accurately weighing, blending, and homogenizing materials to ensure representative samples for testing.
  • Conduct dissolution testing of solid oral drug products using USP Apparatus I and Apparatus II.
  • Perform HPLC assays for the quantitative analysis of pharmaceutical components, including potency, purity, and samples from dissolution testing.
  • Ensure analytical instrumentation is properly maintained.
  • Ensure that all laboratory work complies with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), following established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of experiments, results, and procedures in laboratory notebooks and electronic systems, ensuring data integrity.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and participate in laboratory safety initiatives, ensuring a safe and compliant work environment.


Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in chemistry with at least two (2) years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Hands-on experience with HPLC, GC, Dissolution, and use of Empower software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining data integrity.
