*Overview*
As a CDL Delivery Driver Class B, you will be a vital part of our transportation team, responsible for safely operating commercial delivery trucks. Your core skills in driving, truck driving\ and commercial driving will be essential in transporting goods efficiently and on time. You will ensure the secure transportation of heating fuels to customers homes and businesses. Your relevant experience in delivery driving and route driving will further enhance your ability to handle diverse transportation tasks effectively. Our delivery drivers are home every night and have a work / home life balance. Delivery drivers work within a 150 mile radius and are not required to complete electronic log books. They are also given the opportunity to delivery in their local neighborhoods and surrounding areas.
We are willing to train and assist with the right candidate with obtaining their CDL B and endorsements.
*Responsibilities*
* Drive various types of fuel delivery trucks to customer's homes and businesses.
* Load and unload cargo securely and efficiently, ensuring that the fuel is transported safely.
* Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
* Maintain accurate delivery logs and complete necessary paperwork related to deliveries.
* Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.
* Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with customers during deliveries.
* Report any vehicle issues or accidents immediately to management.
* During busy times you will be delivering heating fuel in all types of weather
* During non-peak busy times we cross train delivery drivers for oil & propane tank installations, construction, landscaping and other miscellaneous work at one of our many locations.
*Qualifications*
* Valid commercial driver's license (CDL B) is preferred; experience with manual transmission is a plus.
* Proven experience in truck driving or as a delivery driver is highly desirable.
* Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining delivery logs and paperwork.
* Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Must be able to pass a pre-employment/post offer physical and drug screening as required by company policy.
* Ability to obtain a Hazmat & Tanker Endorsement
* DOT medical card
