About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Dean to serve as the founding academic and operational leader of a new international higher education hub. This role is pivotal in the institution's global expansion strategy, with a focus on careers-first education, employer engagement, applied research, and transnational academic delivery. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and executing the strategic direction of the hub, ensuring alignment with institutional priorities and long-term global strategy. Key responsibilities include leading multi-year planning, building a culture of innovation, and driving excellence in academic programs, teaching quality, and student support services. The Executive Dean will also be tasked with strengthening research activity, promoting external partnerships, and leading the hub's operational and financial management. Candidates for the Executive Dean position must have a Doctorate or equivalent professional standing, with a strong academic and/or professional background. Extensive senior leadership experience in a large, complex academic organization is essential, as is a proven track record in delivering measurable improvements in academic quality, research performance, and employability outcomes. The role requires a leader with a deep understanding of higher education policy, regulatory frameworks, and quality assurance, as well as experience in leading large-scale change initiatives and cultural transformation. The ideal candidate will have a strong research leadership, enterprise activity, and external funding background, and the ability to balance academic credibility with strategic, operational, and financial leadership. Experience in multicultural team leadership and operating within hybrid environments is also a key requirement.
