3 days ago Be among the first 25 applicants Job Overview The primary function of the Repair Technician is to open, inspect, deluxe, and rewrap product for special inspections on the Shipping dock. The Repair Technician will repair any pieces brought from the Shipping department that were found to be damaged during the loading process. The Repair Technician is stationed at the Repair Shop to open and inspect all product brought to this area from Returns or within the DC. The Repair Technician will determine the final disposition of these pieces. Key Skills For Success Core Competencies & Expertise Strong knowledge and competence in Case Goods repair, Upholstery repair, and other furniture related repairs. General understanding of warehouse/distribution center operations. Ability to safely and effectively utilize a variety of hand tools to perform repairs on merchandise. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to communicate proactively and effectively including comprehending and communicating detailed instructions, reading and writing, and having knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures as required by the position. High School Diploma or equivalent work experience. Minimum of 2-3 years of Repair Experience. Strong knowledge and competence on: Case Goods repair, Upholstery repair. Physical Demands Able to sit, walk, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, push, pull, climb, balance, crouch, push and handle and move items weighing up to 50 lbs without assistance. Ability to move throughout all areas of the distribution center. Move objects up to 250 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations. Stand and walk continuously to perform job functions.
