Ask any educator and they’ll tell you how challenging the transfer to online learning has been on students. With this in mind, we at Howard Fuller Collegiate Academy are seeking an educator willing to tackle those challenges and support students during virtual instruction. An ideal candidate will be very intuitive as an educator, have the ability to build great relationships with students and families, and have a passion for social studies and education.
Dr. Howard Fuller Collegiate Academy’s (HFCA) educators are exceptional in how we form relationships with students that help them see themselves as scholars capable of a lifetime of success. We seek teachers who are content experts and want the freedom to design lessons that impact learning and nurture personal development.
The students, or scholars as we call them at The Dr. Howard Fuller Collegiate Academy, have achieved 100% college acceptance for 7 consecutive years! Our ultimate goal is to provide the opportunity for success to families and scholars who may not have as many resources as some of their peers.

If you have proven skill or experience in:
➢ Planning engaging, standards-based lessons;
➢ Bringing additional resources to lessons and students;
➢ Creating an effective learning environment through relationship building, high expectations and the use of consistent and effective routines;
➢ Teaching what to learn and how to learn it (note-taking, hands-on learning experiences; gradual release);
➢ Communicating with parents in person and in writing;
➢ Working collaboratively with peers and other professionals to solve problems of practice;
➢ Upholding norms of school culture;
➢ Willingness to develop students in literacy skills; and
➢ Reflecting on his or her practice, seeing their students’ success as their own.
Requisites
➢ Educators must be certified to teach in their content area for the State of Wisconsin or be able to obtain a charter school license from Wisconsin Department of Instruction.
➢ All candidates must pass a background check including fingerprinting.
