Job Description Job Description As a result of our expansion and continued organization growth, we are looking for a Junior Buyer to join our Purchasing team. Position Summary: This position will be responsible for purchasing and negotiating services, materials and supplies which will include, but not limited to: Establish and maintain supplier relationships and research potential new vendors Communicate with suppliers via various channels. Ensure receipt of documents such as quotes and order acknowledgments. Follow up on open purchase orders Communicate shipment delays with appropriate parties Assist team members in finding alternative supply sources when delays occur. Run weekly reports and follow up on outstanding issues. Review, and manage supplier relationships and order status. Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to receiving, pricing, and quality issues with suppliers. Ideal Qualifications: Related schooling and/or experience within supply chain or purchasing fields. Strong negotiation, decision making and organizational skills Working knowledge of Purchasing related duties and responsibilities Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and Outlook
