PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the Stickney Board of Fire and Police Commissioners will accept applications for lateral police candidates beginning Monday, December 01, 2025. Applications may be obtained at the Stickney Police Department located at 6533 Pershing Road, Stickney, Illinois 60402 or the Village of Stickney website (https://www.villageofstickney.com). As a condition of employment, all applicants must be a full-time unrestricted law enforcement officer in good standing, as established by the officer's previous law enforcement agency and verified by the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board and have two (2) years of continuous service as a full-time police officer with no longer than a 12-month gap in service. All Village of Stickney police officers must live within forty (40) miles of the Village of Stickney. The starting pay for lateral hires is $97,302.44. All completed applications must be returned to the Stickney Police Department by 7:00 a.m. on Monday, December 29, 2025. No application fee will be charged.
