TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS ROLE, CANDIDATES MUST HAVE AT LEAST THREE YEARS OF HANDS-ON RESIDENTIAL MORTGAGE UNDERWRITING EXPERIENCE IN CANADA.

An award-winning and highly-rated mortgage brokerage based in Ontario, Outline Financial is looking for a talented and detail-oriented Mortgage Underwriter to join our team.

In this key role, you will join a team of experienced Mortgage Underwriters who support Outline in delivering a top-notch customer service experience while building relationships with our referral and lender partners.

You will be responsible for working with lenders, lawyers, clients, and team members to ensure that we meet and exceed our customer service objectives throughout the entire client journey.

Key Roles:
• Prepare, review and underwrite client mortgage applications
• Work closely with lender partners to fulfill condition requirements
• Stay current with all lender guidelines, products and interest rates
• Liaise with solicitor offices to ensure smooth closings
• Prepare and review mortgage approval documents and review with clients
• Manage appraisal process for clients as required

Skills:
• 3+ years plus experience in residential mortgage underwriting. This is a must as candidates without mortgage underwriting experience will not be considered for this position.
• Experience using Filogix, Finmo, BOSS or Velocity
• Experience using MS Office suite of products
• Knowledge or experience using a CRM platform is an asset (i.e., Zoho, Pipedrive, etc.)
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Attention to detail is required
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• A self-starter who can work with minimal direct supervision
• Ability to understand procedures and offer suggestions for maximizing efficiencies
