About The Role The Banquet Server offers pre‑determined menu selections to guests and delivers items to the guest in a timely manner. The Banquet Server also assists with set‑up, breakdown, and clearing of items according to the banquet event order. What You Will Do Offer pre‑determined menu selections to each table; maintain knowledge of each item’s origin, taste, and preparation methods. Communicate guest orders including any special needs or requests; check completed orders with the guest’s original order. Coordinate food timings and transport items to the guest table in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality. Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions, responding urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests. Assist in set‑up of linen, china, glass, silver, and accent pieces for each function according to the banquet event order. Breakdown, clean, and set‑up of tables, buffets, and food stations. What You Bring At least 2 years of high‑volume banquet serving experience, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort. Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills. Strong time‑management skills: ability to multi‑task, set priorities, and adjust to changing conditions. Willing to work in a fast‑paced environment. Ability to operate all computer equipment necessary to perform the job; knowledge of Opera and Micros POS preferred or a plus. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work closely with other departments and communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues and guests.
