PROJECT MANAGER (ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR – TRAFFIC DIVISION)

Delta Construction Partners is a national executive search firm for the nation’s premier electrical contractors and industry professionals. Delta has been retained by a confidential client to conduct a search for a Project Manager (Electrical Contractor – Traffic Division) in Austin, Texas .

Compensation & Benefits

  • Total Compensation: $120,000 – $160,000

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead overall project execution from pre-construction through close-out for traffic signal and roadway lighting projects.
  • Develop, update, and manage detailed project schedules and budgets to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
  • Coordinate and communicate daily with field superintendents and foremen to verify progress and resolve issues.
  • Manage and track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
  • Oversee procurement of materials and equipment to meet project timelines.
  • Interface directly with owners, general contractors, and engineers to maintain strong client relationships.
  • Ensure all work complies with contract requirements, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Lead project meetings, prepare progress reports, and monitor financial performance against estimates.
  • Support and mentor project engineers and junior staff to build strong future leadership within the division.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in project management for electrical contractors (preferably traffic signal and infrastructure projects)
  • Strong knowledge of the Texas Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices and TexITE best practices
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and client-facing skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously
  • Stable work history and strong references
  • Local candidates preferred; relocation considered for the right fit
