As a Security Officer - Healthcare Patrol Specialist FT in Columbia, SC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents and provide a visible presence. You will interact with staff, patients, and visitors, offering outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for healthcare environments.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify any unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a visible security-related presence.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to site protocols and Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Assist staff, patients, and visitors with directions and information as needed while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff and local authorities as required during incidents or emergencies.
  • Remain alert to potential hazards and security-related concerns specific to healthcare locations, reporting any findings promptly.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • At least six months of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required as per client requirements.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
