The Ecosystem teams mission is to make information exchange in global trade easy for everyone by efficiently, securely and reliably connecting the Flexport Platform with the external Global Trade Ecosystem.

The opportunity:

We are looking for a talented Solutions Consultant to join our team! In this role you will bridge the gap between Sales, Account Management, Global Operations, Solutions Engineers and Product Teams to ensure the successful deployment, ongoing utilization and stability of the integrations you deliver.

You will:

  • Own the end-to-end delivery for all integrations required to help onboard Flexport largest and most complex customers. This would include integrations that support all Flexport service offerings including purchase order, bookings, advanced shipping notification, shipment milestone, freight invoice, customs, and more.
  • Drive functional requirements gathering and own defining the end to end integration requirements to meet the clients functional needs.
  • Be the subject matter expert and share insights about different domains of freight forwarding scenarios that might impact a given customers integration with business/product/tech stakeholders.
  • Build a deep understanding of Flexports current tech capabilities as they relate to integrations for all modes and service types.
  • Lead projects that can accommodate the wide variety of traditional and modern integration technologies in use by various logistics partners from flat files, EDI X12, EDIFACT, REST and SOAP APIs
  • Work closely with Product Engineers and Integration Engineers, ensuring they have clear requirements as they engage in the technical build.
  • Collaborate with the Account Management, Sales, and Global Operations teams to review, update and socialize SOP changes for integrated customers when required.
  • Facilitate User Acceptance Testing across end-users both internally and externally with relevant customer resources ensuring successful testing and approval prior to integration go-live.
  • Partner with Account Executives and sales leaders, ensuring they have full support in navigating integration related requests from their customers throughout the pre-sales process.

You should have:

  • 5+ years software or technology experience in a Solutions Consultant / Architect or similar role delivering integration solutions to enterprise systems
  • Familiarity with any of the following: APIs, transmission protocols (FTP, SFTP, AS2, etc.) and payload / file formats (JSON, EDI, XML, delimited files, etc.)
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills paired with a persistent, proactive, results-oriented mindset
  • Ownership mindset to drive improvements, influencing stakeholders across various teams and establishing informal roadmaps
  • Work well with cross-functional teams and provide project leadership
  • Initiative and positive attitude with a desire to learn and seek answers independently
  • Outstanding organizational and time-management skills; excellent verbal and written communication
  • Experience with data analytics, data manipulation and/or system integrations.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or relevant work experience
  • Willingness to travel (up to 25%)

Bonus points if you have:

  • Prior experience in logistics and/or global trade
  • Experience delivering solutions with enterprise iPaaS systems (i.e. Boomi)
  • Ability to effectively drive integration efforts between Flexport, our customers and the ERP, TMS, Customs, WMS or other systems they rely on.

The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the posting's respective region. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range displayed, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and / or training.

The US base salary range for this position (this does not include bonus, equity and benefits):

$115,200 - $144,000 USD
