Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Dedicated Special Education Teacher needed for a K-12 school setting in Gretna, LA, specializing in 1:1 student support. This full-time contract position runs through the current school year with a start date as soon as possible and concludes on May 22, 2026. The role offers consistent weekday hours, Monday through Friday, following the school calendar with 7-hour days plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized 1:1 instruction and support to assigned students within the K-12 range.
• Develop and implement tailored educational plans that meet students unique learning needs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive support for students.
• Maintain accurate records and monitor student progress.
• Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.

Qualifications:

• Active and valid Louisiana Department of Education Special Education teaching certification.
• Experience working with K-12 students in a special education capacity, preferably in 1:1 settings.
• Ability to begin work immediately with no delays related to licensing.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Location: Gretna, Louisiana
Position Type: Contract, full-time (35 hours/week)
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7 hours daily plus 30-minute unpaid lunch.
