Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A contracted Special Education teaching opportunity is available within a K-12 educational setting in Mount Pleasant, SC, serving multiple school locations in the surrounding areas. This role is designed for a full-time professional dedicated to supporting diverse student needs, with assignments including classrooms for low incidence and intensive developmental support students. One position specifically focuses on a challenging classroom environment serving students with intellectual disabilities and autism, supported by a team including a teaching assistant, Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), and an on-campus Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students with varying disabilities, including intellectual disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
• Collaborate with support staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral interventions.
• Manage classroom environments effectively to foster student engagement and growth.
• Maintain compliance with state licensure requirements and local educational standards.
• Work within a team to assess student progress and adapt strategies as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active South Carolina Special Education Teacher licensure required; multi-categorical licensure preferred.
• Experience working with students with intellectual disabilities and ASD is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to manage challenging classroom settings and behavioral concerns.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary teams.

Location Details:

• Positions available in multiple schools in the North Charleston and West Ashley areas, as well as Liberty Hill Academy.
• Specific assignments will be confirmed upon placement.

Work Schedule and Duration:

• Full-time position, Monday through Friday.
• Contract duration from ASAP through May 29, 2026.
