Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A licensed Special Education Teacher is needed to support high school students with mild to moderate disabilities in a resource classroom setting. This full-time, contract position involves delivering individualized instruction and fostering an inclusive learning environment for approximately 30 students. The assignment provides an opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a dedicated learning center, working alongside supportive district staff and paraeducators.

Location:Hillsboro, OR (high school setting)

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the diverse needs of students with mild/moderate disabilities.
• Provide direct instruction and support within a learning center/resource classroom.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff to ensure integrated service delivery.
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional approaches accordingly.
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district and state regulations.
• Participate in team meetings, parent conferences, and professional development sessions as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Oregon Special Education teaching license with endorsement in mild/moderate disabilities at the high school level.
• Experience managing caseloads of approximately 30 students.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs and adapting curriculum to meet individual student needs.
• Ability to provide a supportive and inclusive classroom environment promoting student growth.
