Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This full-time role is ideal for a certified Special Education Teacher ready to support K-12 students across various schools in the Jefferson Parish area, including locations near New Orleans, LA. The position is a contract assignment lasting through the end of the 2025-2026 school year, starting as soon as possible and concluding on May 22, 2026. This opportunity requires an active Louisiana DOE certification and a commitment to delivering specialized educational support within diverse school settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized instruction and support to students with disabilities across K-12 grade levels.
• Develop and implement tailored education plans aligned with students unique learning needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure effective educational outcomes.
• Maintain compliance with state regulations and district policies.
• Track and report student progress and adapt strategies to optimize learning.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Louisiana DOE Special Education certification.
• Demonstrated experience working with K-12 students in special education settings.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage caseloads effectively and adapt to changing school environments.

Work Schedule and Location:

• Full-time, 35 hours per week (7 hours per day with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break).
• Monday through Friday following the school calendar.
