Job Details

Responsibilities:

As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for a broad range of financial tasks. Your duties will include:

• Conducting regular inventory audits and cycle counts to ensure accurate financial records.
• Managing purchasing tasks, including vendor selection, negotiations, and maintaining vendor relations.
• Setting pricing strategies and ensuring they are correctly implemented across the organization.
• Overseeing all aspects of accounting, including the preparation of financial reports, budget forecasts, and tax filings.
• Providing financial guidance and support for construction projects, including budgeting, cost tracking, and financial reporting.
• Coordinating logistics operations, including transportation, inventory control, and warehouse management.
• Regularly reviewing financial processes and systems, recommending improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate for the Staff Accountant position will possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is a plus.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in an accounting role with responsibilities in inventory management, purchasing, pricing, and/or logistics.
• Proven experience in construction project management or manufacturing is ideal, including financial planning and cost control.
• Strong negotiation skills and a proven track record of successful vendor relations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making skills.
