American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least 2 years of acute care experience and an active PT license for an acute care position.

\n \n Responsibilities\n
  • Work in an acute care setting treating patients with neuromuscular, orthopedic, and physically-related disorders
  • Service includes a variety of therapeutic interventions such as ADL retraining, manual therapy, therapeutic activities, aquatic therapy, and neuromuscular re-education
  • Patient population comprises those requiring strengthening, modalities, training in daily living activities, and other rehabilitative therapies
  • Work standard 8-hour day shifts with required flexibility for weekends and holidays
  • Floating to other areas or sites may be required based on staffing needs
  • Epic EMR is used for documentation
  • Responsibilities include patient education in home safety, use of adaptive equipment, and compensatory techniques
  • Participate in documentation, program development, teaching, and enhancement of clinical skills
  • 12 hours of orientation are provided and clinicians must be in-state for orientation, even if first-day modules are remote
  • Current employees or those employed in the past year at a related facility are not eligible
  • Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility based on the address on driver’s license
  • Scrub or professional dress code may be required; verify at assignment
  • Weekend and holiday coverage as needed
\n \n Requirements\n
  • Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Physical Therapist, with preference for direct care experience in outpatient, inpatient, or rehab units
  • Current BLS certification is required
  • Active state or Compact (NLC) Physical Therapist license required at the time of consideration; pending licenses are not accepted
  • Copy of driver's license must be provided
  • License required if applicable
  • Dry Needling Certification or education required only if performing dry needling
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records, preferably Epic
  • Two professional references: one supervisor from within the past 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the past 3 years
