Spinelli, Donald & Nott is an AV rated Civil litigation firm with 40-year history in Sacramento is looking for a newly licensed lawyer to work directly under the direction of senior partner to work in defense of public entities in civil litigation. Firm is looking for a licensed attorneys with 0 to 3 years of experience looking for real training and guidance to develop the young lawyer into a skilled litigator. The firm and supervising attorney handles all aspects of civil litigation including pre-litigation investigation, pleadings, discovery, law and motion, trials and appeals. The appropriate candidate for this role will be someone who will invest the time and energy necessary to develop their professional capabilities by "doing" the challenging work necessary to develop into a capable lawyer. If your preference is to shuffle papers without being directly involved with the litigation process, this is not a position for you. Case analysis and litigation tactics
Research and handling of unique and complex legal issues
Drafting and responding to written discovery
Taking and defending depositions
Writing and arguing significant law and motion, including dispositive motions
Participating in mediations and arbitrations
Trial preparation
