Position Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced professional to lead event planning and marketing for our nonprofit organization. This role is critical in creating impactful events that advance our mission, strengthen community relationships, and inspire donor and volunteer support. The ideal candidate will combine strategic marketing expertise with hands-on event management.

Key Responsibilities:

Event Planning & Execution:

• Plan, coordinate, and manage mission-driven events including our annual, two-day Inspire Career Exploration Experience.
• Oversee logistics, budgets, timelines, and vendor relationships to ensure successful outcomes.

Marketing & Communications:

• Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote events and programs across digital, social, and traditional channels.
• Create compelling digital content for newsletters, email campaigns, and social media to engage donors, volunteers, and the community.

Community & Donor Engagement:

• Ensure events align with organizational mission and strengthen donor and community relationships.
• Collaborate with the development team to integrate fundraising goals into event planning.

Analytics & Reporting:

• Track event performance and marketing analytics to inform future strategies.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in event planning, communications and marketing (nonprofit experience preferred).
• Strong organizational and communication skills with a passion for community impact.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with event planning and marketing best practices.
• Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Constant Contact) and social media; experience with Canva and graphic design preferred
• Creative mindset with attention to detail and mission-driven approach.
• Strong leadership and relationship-building abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets
• Strategic thinker with attention to detail and commitment to excellence
