What You'll Do:
Consult and Sell: Meet with customers to assess their garage door needs, provide expert recommendations, and present tailored sales solutions for new garage doors, openers, and accessories.
Install & Repair: Safely and efficiently install, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of residential and commercial garage doors, openers, and related components (springs, cables, rollers, tracks, etc.).
Customer Service: Build strong rapport with clients, clearly explain technical issues and solutions, and ensure complete customer satisfaction on every job.
Diagnostics: Accurately diagnose malfunctioning garage door systems and recommend appropriate repairs or replacements.
Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity of garage door systems.
Inventory Management: Manage and maintain vehicle inventory of parts and tools.
Safety: Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and our customers.
Documentation: Complete accurate work orders and maintain clear records of services performed.
What You'll Bring:
Experience: 1 year of proven experience as a Garage Door Technician or in a related field (e.g., general construction, mechanical repair, field service). We are willing to train highly motivated candidates with strong mechanical aptitude and customer service skills.
Mechanical Aptitude: Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
Customer Focus: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and active listening skills with a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
Problem-Solving: Ability to think critically and solve problems efficiently and effectively.
Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 75 lbs.), bend, climb, kneel, and stand for extended periods in various weather conditions.
Sales Acumen: Comfort discussing products and services with customers and closing sales.
Valid Driver's License: A clean driving record is required.
