Description Job Position: Marketing & Volunteer Recruiter Program: Mentoring Reports to: Mentoring Director Status: Full-Time?(32 hours/week), Non-Exempt Work Schedule: HYBRID in-person/remote Family Services of the Merrimack Valley (FSMV) is seeking an outgoing, dynamic, and highly motivated Marketing & Volunteer Recruiter to join our Mentoring Programs team! This position is essential to growing the reach and impact of our programs by engaging the community, promoting mentoring, and recruiting volunteer mentors and youth across 15 local cities and towns. Position Overview: The Marketing & Volunteer Recruiter will lead recruitment and outreach efforts by identifying and developing community partnerships, organizing recruitment campaigns, managing marketing efforts, and actively representing FSMV’s mentoring programs at events. This hybrid role involves work in the community, at our main office, and remotely. Key Responsibilities: Identify opportunities to present and promote FSMV mentoring programs to attract volunteer mentors. Build and maintain partnerships with local businesses, schools, civic groups, churches, and other organizations. Plan and implement recruitment events, presentations, and campaigns. Responsible for planning, coordinating, and facilitating mentor training and orientation sessions to ensure volunteers are well prepared, informed, and supported in their roles. Establish and maintain a consistent pipeline of mentor leads. Create and distribute a monthly mentoring newsletter. Collaborate with the Communications Coordinator to ensure mentoring content is included in agency-wide materials. Engage in social media and digital marketing efforts to boost recruitment. Create and disseminate program-marketing materials using Canva, TikTok, Reels and other platforms. Track and input outreach activities and contacts into data management systems. Support agency fundraising efforts and secure corporate sponsors, including for the annual Bowl a Strike for Kids event. Participate in the enrollment process for parents, children, and volunteers; support mentee/parent/match activities; and assist mentoring staff with ongoing match support. Requirements Qualifications: Associate’s degree or 3–5 years of relevant experience in volunteer recruitment, outreach, or community engagement. A collaborative team player who is highly motivated, energetic, and results-driven, with strong follow-through and a commitment to achieving goals. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to engage and build rapport with diverse populations. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish strongly preferred. Confident public speaker with experience creating and delivering tailored presentations. Proficient in Canva, Microsoft Office, and social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok). Comfortable using data management systems and tracking outreach metrics. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and occasional weekends to accommodate program events and activities required. Strong cultural competency and commitment to inclusion, particularly with Latinx and other diverse communities. Access to reliable transportation is required.
