RN - Forensic Nurse Examiner - *Variable Shifts* at Providence Health and Services summary:

The Forensic Nurse Examiner provides specialized nursing care to adolescents and adults presenting with acute sexual assault or non-fatal strangulation in the Emergency Department under supervision. The role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, a Registered Nurse license in Washington, and experience in nursing. The position offers variable shifts, comprehensive benefits, and is part of Providence St. Peter Hospital’s patient-focused healthcare team.

Description

Under the supervision of the FNE/SANE Supervisor and Sexual Assault Clinic Medical Director, with orders when necessary from the Emergency Department Provider, the Forensic Nurse Examiner follows protocols to provide independent, comprehensive care to adults and adolescents presenting to the Emergency Department with a complaint of acute sexual assault and/or non-fatal strangulation.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • Washington Registered Nurse License upon hire.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
  • 1 year of Nursing experience.
