Summary
Supports all areas of KARM Stores by building, developing, and/or maintaining an effective volunteer program throughout the organization. The Volunteer Engagement Manager assists in all aspects of partner engagement including communication with church partners, volunteer recruitment, speaking engagements, volunteer appreciation, as well as staff training. Skilled in communication to multiple stakeholders, the Volunteer Engagement Manager facilitates individual and group volunteer experiences by connecting prospective volunteers with KARM Stores staff.
Coordinate volunteer experiences between prospective volunteers and KARM & KARM Stores staff by communicating details of each opportunity and maintaining a master calendar of volunteer experiences.
Recruit individuals and groups for volunteer experiences and follow up after a completed volunteer experience.
Speak to prospective and new volunteers through hosted events, storytelling or other identified opportunities, as scheduled.
Provide comprehensive training to KARM Stores staff, to ensure consistency in working with volunteers. Provide tools to facilitate positive volunteer experiences for both staff and volunteers.
Recognize volunteers and KARM Stores staff for their efforts and impact at Knox Area Rescue Ministries.
Lead volunteer experiences in person, as needed.
Assist the Senior Manager/VP, as needed, in engagement with church and nonprofit prospects and partners, particularly in requesting speaking opportunities, scheduling an event on prospects and partners campuses, or hosting an event at KARM & KARM Stores.
Support Senior Manager/VP, as needed, in design and distribution of communication pieces for volunteers.
Maintain accurate and current data on volunteers and volunteer experiences.
Other duties as assigned.
This position is a traveling position and will require the ability to travel to various store locations as the engagement needs dictate.
